Nintendo Switch online reveals the date of launch of Banjo

Nintendo Switch Online Subscribers + Expansion Pack will soon have the opportunity to play one of the most beloved games of the Nintendo 64 era, since Banjo-Kazooie is scheduled to launch on January 20! Last month a launch window was announced for the game, but now the fans know exactly when to expect the bird and the rare bear. Originally released for Nintendo 64 in 1998, banjo-kazooie quickly became a favorite of fans in the system, generating a sequel only two years later. Unfortunately, it has not been said when (or yes) banjo-tooie will receive a launch in Nintendo Switch.

The Nintendo announcement can be found on the Tweet embedded below.

Banjo-Kazooie

While Banjo and Kazoo were closely associated with Nintendo, the characters were actually owned by Rare Ltd. Nintendo sold the developer to Microsoft in 2001, for the dismay of fans. Microsoft launched Banjo-Kazooie games for Game Boy Advance in 2003 and 2005, but the characters disappeared from Nintendo's systems for many years later. After years of requests for fans, Banjo and Kazoo were added to Super Smash Bros Ultimate as a DLC fighter in 2019. Banjo-Kazooie was one of the first N64 games advertised when the expansion package for Nintendo Switch Online was revealed, And it could indicate that more games owned by Microsoft could reach the service.

During Rare's time with Nintendo, the developer launched several beloved games in N64. In addition to banjo-kazooie, rare games developed as -tuning, The day of the bad skins of Conker, and Jet Force Gemini. Of course, the larger game that Rare developed for the system was Jo 007. The first-person shooting game was a great success in N64, but the title has never been ported to another system, as a result of legal bureaucracy. Given how close as Microsoft and Nintendo have been working together lately, it is possible that more Rare games will reach Nintendo Switch Online, including Jo Tojo. For now, Nintendo fanatics will only have to wait and see!
